Temple Concord's community consists of many smaller communities. The Temple Concord Sisterhood is the temple's largest and most active auxiliary consisting of a group of dedicated, hardworking and enthusiastic women who work to support the temple, its Religious School and the community. It is both a service organization and a social organization. The Sisterhood is affiliated with the national Women of Reform Judaism. Programs include: holiday parties for the Religious School students and pre-schoolers; educational programs such as book reviews, the Adult B'nai Mitzvah class, the Women's Seder and Weekend retreat; and fund-raising to offer support to the congregation, school and other organizations.
Youth Group members participate in social activites, education programs and service to the synagogue and community. They are affiliated with the North American Federation of Temple Youth of the Reform Movement and participate in regional gatherings with other youth groups in the area. The Youth Group meets in the Susan Matties-Nadel Youth Center.
At the other end of the age spectrum, there is a seniors brunch group that meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 10:00 AM. Different speakers and programs of interest to seniors take place during the brunch as well as a chance for socialization. The purpose of the group is educational and social.
In addition, the temple's Outreach Program has an interfaith families group that meets on a periodic basis to discuss the issues involved with intermarried families. The goal is to help these families feel welcome and integrated into the Temple Concord community.
